Cádiz renovation price observatory

Almost everything published about renovation prices is market estimates or national averages that are useless for making decisions in Cádiz. We did the opposite: took our real quotes, aggregated them and published them.

The sample: 36 quotes issued to real clients in the province of Cádiz between 22 June and 30 July 2026, with 92 priced line items. Client prices, VAT not included. No personal data.

What each trade costs

The “typical range” is the interquartile range (P25–P75): it discards the cheapest 25% and the most expensive 25%, which is exactly what makes most published ranges useless. The median is the central value. “n” is how many line items back each figure.

Bath-to-shower conversion€347 – €692€3473

Important when reading the table: these are line items exactly as quoted, and their scope varies. Bath-to-shower conversion starts at €347 because in some quotes it is labour only and the client supplies the tray; when materials are included it goes above €1,000. That is why we publish the range and the n, not a single price.

What a full quote costs

Adding up every line item per quote (n=33), the typical amount ranges from €1,082 to €8,808, with a median of €5,782. The smallest was €347 (a single replacement) and the largest €42,860 (a full renovation with redistribution).

The figure that surprised us most: PVC vs aluminium

In June 2026 we quoted the same window — 125 × 115 cm, walnut colour, same home — in both materials. Aluminium came to €1,082 and PVC to €1,597: PVC cost 48% more. It is a single case, not an average, but it is a clean comparison because only the material changes.

Methodology

  • Source: the 36 quotes we issued between 22/06/2026 and 30/07/2026 in the province of Cádiz. No quotes were discarded or hand-picked.
  • Client prices, VAT not included. We do not publish supplier costs.
  • Typical range = 25th–75th percentiles. Median = central value. The n is always stated.
  • We do not publish a range for any trade with fewer than 3 data points. That is why plumbing (n=1) and structural reinforcement (n=2) are missing.
  • Fully anonymised data: no names, no addresses, no quote numbers.
  • Updated as we issue more quotes. The sample will grow and the ranges will narrow.

FAQ

Cádiz renovation price observatory

Where do these prices come from?

From the quotes we issued to real clients in the province of Cádiz between June and July 2026. They are not market estimates, national averages or third-party data: they are 36 quotes with 92 priced line items.

Do they include VAT?

No. All figures are client prices excluding VAT. For home renovation the applicable VAT is usually 10%, and 21% in other cases.

Why do some trades have such wide ranges?

Because the scope changes. A “fitted wardrobes” line item can be one wardrobe or the entire interior of a home; a “bath-to-shower” one can include materials or be labour only. We publish the range and the n precisely so that variability is visible rather than hidden behind a single price.

Can I use this data in an article or study?

Yes. You may quote it freely, citing “Cádiz renovation price observatory, Reformas by Bianca” and linking to this page. If you need more detail than we publish here, email us and we will provide it.

How often is it updated?

We review it as we issue more quotes. The more data comes in, the narrower and more reliable the ranges become. The last update date appears at the top of the page.

My quote is higher than these ranges — am I being overcharged?

Not necessarily. These ranges come from our own portfolio and a specific period; the state of the property, material quality and access difficulty move the price a lot. Use them as a reference to ask where the money goes, not as a verdict.
