Roller shutters

Roller shutters in Cádiz, comfort at the push of a button.

In Cádiz, roller shutters are not an accessory: they are essential for controlling the intense summer heat, darkening rooms and adding a security layer to your home. We install new shutters, motorise existing ones and repair mechanisms damaged by salt air. Foam-filled aluminium slats that withstand the coastal climate for decades.

What's included

Everything your renovation includes, with no one for you to coordinate.

Foam-filled aluminium slats | Roller shutters

Foam-filled aluminium slats

Aluminium slats filled with polyurethane foam offer a double benefit: thermal and acoustic insulation with maximum strength. They do not deform in the extreme Cádiz summer heat or corrode with salt air. Their durability far exceeds conventional PVC slats exposed to direct sunlight.

Motorisation with remote control | Roller shutters

Motorisation with remote control

We install silent tubular motors with individual or centralised remote control for the whole home. You can raise and lower all shutters with a single button, program automatic schedules and connect the system to home automation. Ideal for multi-storey homes or people with reduced mobility.

Compact or built-in box | Roller shutters

Compact or built-in box

We offer compact boxes that fit into the window opening without building work, ideal for renovations. We also install built-in boxes recessed into the wall, invisible from inside and with better insulation. We choose the solution based on your window and facade characteristics.

Roller shutters are a critical element in Cádiz homes. Direct sunlight during the summer months can raise indoor temperatures to unbearable levels without an effective sun protection system. Foam-filled aluminium shutters, with their insulating foam core, block up to 95 % of solar radiation and significantly reduce dependence on air conditioning.

Many homes in the old town of Cádiz still have PVC or wooden shutters that have deteriorated over the years. PVC slats warp with heat, straps break and mechanisms jam due to corrosion from the marine environment. Replacing these shutters with foam-filled aluminium and stainless-steel tracks solves all these problems at once.

FAQ

What you ask us most.

How much does it cost to motorise shutters in Cádiz?

Motorising an already installed shutter costs between 180 and 300 euros per unit, including tubular motor, remote control and installation. If the whole shutter needs replacing with a factory-fitted motor, the price ranges from 400 to 650 euros. After visiting your home, we provide a quote with the detail for each window.

Do aluminium shutters withstand salt air better than PVC?

Yes. Foam-filled aluminium with protective lacquer resists corrosion much better than PVC, which tends to discolour and warp under the intense sun and salinity of Cádiz. Additionally, aluminium slats are more rigid and resistant to wind impacts. In the long run, aluminium is more cost-effective because its service life is significantly longer.

Can a jammed shutter be repaired without replacing the whole thing?

In many cases, yes. Jams are usually caused by worn tracks, broken straps, misaligned slats or rusted drums. We diagnose the problem on site and give you an honest repair quote. If the repair cost exceeds 60 % of a new shutter, we will recommend a full replacement because it is more cost-effective in the medium term.

Do motorised shutters use a lot of electricity?

No. Modern tubular motors have very low consumption, less than one cent per raise or lower. They run on standard domestic power and only consume energy during movement, which lasts just a few seconds. The energy savings in air conditioning they provide by blocking the sun far exceed their minimal electricity consumption.

Can a shutter be motorised without replacing the whole thing?

Yes, in most cases. If the shutter and box are in good condition, we install a tubular motor inside the existing axle without touching the shutter or facade. The process takes less than an hour per window and we only need a nearby power outlet.
